Shen Wei

Choreographer , director, dancer, painter and designer Shen Wei is known worldwide for its bold visual- plastic stage works . Special reputation he acquired after working on staging the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

The newspaper " The Washington Times " named Shen Wei " one of the greatest artists of our time ."

Winner of many awards and honors : Grant MacArthur (" genius grant ", 2007) , a grant from the American artists , the scholarship of the John Simon Guggenheim Award " Star of Ballet 2000" , awarded by the largest European choreographic magazine Ballet2000, Australian Helpmann Award , Nijinsky Prize in the category " New choreographer " Prize .
