Russian soprano Anna Samuil has just made her extraordinary debut in the West singing Violetta for the opening night of the season at the Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin for Maestro Barenboim. Following her performances, Anna has been offered a two year Festcontract in Berlin and will sing a number of roles over the next two years, including Donna Anna, Michaela, Fiordiligi, Eva, Contessa and Liu. Anna will also be returning to Aix-en-Provence Festival to sing Violetta following last year’s cancelled Festival.
