Tigran Alihanov (Piano soloist)
Pianist Tigran Alihanov was born in 1943 in Moscow, in family of outstanding physicist A.I.Alihanova. Its mother - known violinist Glory Roshal‘. In 1961 has ended the Central musical school at the Moscow conservatory at A.S.Sumbatjan. Then studied in the Moscow conservatory and postgraduate study in a class of professor L.N.Oborina (1961-1969.) In 1967, becoming the winner of the International competition of a name M.Long and Z.Tibo in Paris, T.Alihanov has begun the concert activity. For last years the pianist has given hundred solo concerts in the largest cities of Russia and the CIS countries, repeatedly left abroad (Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, France, Italy, Austria, Greece, USA).
Tigran Alihanov takes a keen interest in modern music. In its repertoir, alongside with classics XX of century (Stravinsky, Hindemit, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Bartok, Shenberg, Berg, Vebern), are presented products of the largest composers of the present, such as Bulez, Kurtag, Messian, Kramb, Denisov, Shnitke, Knaifel, Butcko …
Since 1971 T.Alihanov teaches in the Moscow conservatory of a name of P.I.Chajkovskogo (with 1992 - the professor), is managing faculty of Chamber ensemble and a quartet. In June, 2005 it is selected on a post of the rector of the Moscow state conservatory by it. Tchaikovsky.
